Two of Scotland’s leading blues bands have been added to the programme for the 40th Anniversary Blues Gala concert at the Assembly Hall on July 20. The Jensen Interceptors, fronted by ace vocalist and harmonica king, Gary Martin, and featuring leading guitarist, John Bruce will play a short set and then be joined by ex-Whitesnake blues-rock guitar hero, Bernie Marsden.

Great news from the 2018 Blues Music Awards in Memphis as two of this year’s Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival performers picked up awards. Doug MacLeod who is performing at the Piccolo on Sunday 22 July picked up the award for the best Acoustic Album of the year. This follows on from him winning the Acoustic Artist award over the last two years.
