Thrill has arrived image

Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival is renowned for featuring extraordinary musicians on the basis of their outstanding performances rather than their name recognition in Scotland. As we survey the jazz world, we are amazed by the quality of some European jazz scenes, and it’s a thrill to offer you a very special snapshot of one of the most exciting places for jazz in 2019: Brussels.

From Thursday 7th February to Saturday 9th February, Thrill presents eleven concerts that highlight the best of the new Brussels jazz scene in some iconic Edinburgh venues: The Queen’s Hall, The Jazz Bar, St Brides Centre and on the High Street.

The programme is

Thursday 7th February

Thrill Sextet + Mâäk Quintet

Beyond Django: Les Violons de Bruxelles + Rose Room

Thrill  Jam

Friday 8th February

Oriental Jazz Project + Martin Salemi Trio

STRATA + Antoine Pierre URBEX

Saturday 9th February

Thrill the City at 11:00, 11:50 and 13:00
