Colleen’s Kulture Kitchen + Dancehall with Divine + Africa In Motion Films + Miriam Makeba Tribute with Cynthia Gentle + Black History in Edinburgh + Craft and African Business Markets + Kids Area + Wee Afrobeat Dance Off

St Bride’s is transformed into an African cultural centre for a day. The café is bursting with flavours: the most authentic African dishes of soups, chicken, rice, sides of beef pies, puff puffs, plantain… and of course the infamous hot and spicy pepper soup, chicken suya and flavored jollof rice .."YOU DON'T KNOW IT TILL YOU TASTE IT”. Throughout the day there are music and dance performances; Dancehall workshops with the brilliant Divine Tasinda; short films presented by the Africa In Motion Festival; Lisa Williams talking about Black History in Edinburgh; and African market stalls with crafts, fashion, hairdressing, and much more…all ages welcome, and all free entry (except for Davina’s fantastic dancehall workshop – a bargain at £6). See for full schedule.
